Dance Classes
As well as having a well-established education programme in schools, Fly Right has been teaching adults since the company was incorporated back in 1998. We have been instructors for DanceBase, the National Dance Centre for Scotland, for more than twelve years, giving classes in non-partner and partner swing. Our swing class there runs on a Thursday from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. and you can sign up at www.dancebase.co.uk.
Up till December 2010, we held regular weekly classes at our studio in Longniddry. However, with the demise of this building - its roof collapsed following the extreme weather in December 2010 and the building has subsequently been closed and is to be demolished - the board has taken the difficult decision to cease running community classes in East Lothian - using multiple venues was proving difficult to manage without extra resources, and was putting a financial burden on the charity. The instructors who delivered our classes have taken up the baton and are offering classes locally - find out more about them here.
We also offer private lessons - in particular, for couples who are about to tie the knot and do that First Dance at their wedding. Check out our First Dance page for more details.
