STUDIO NO MORE!
It is with great regret that we report the demise of our Longniddry Studio. The weight of the recent snow has meant that the roof collapsed and the damage done was irreparable. East Lothian Council, who let us have the building at a peppercorn rent to develop a dance resource for the county, have had to condemn the building and demolition will begin shortly. We are in discussion with the Council to see if there are other solutions for a permanent home. In the meantime, however, we have been busy trying to find new homes for our existing class programme and for company rehearsals.
We have been most fortunate, and have managed to rehome our classes, as follows:
BALLROOM classes now have a new home at the Maitlandfield House Hotel in Haddington. Same timings on a Sunday night, but now in a swish setting in the Maitlandfield’s Great Hall. We have negotiated a sponsorship deal which will see our ballroom classes and our company rehearsal schedule accommodated in this lovely function room, and are thrilled to be working with Pauline and Nico De Freitas on this project. More details of the sponsorship coming soon!
Jazz, Ballet, Tap and Charleston Workout will all resume in the week commencing 17 January at the Footlights Studio on Market Street, Haddington. We haven’t managed to find a home for the Tuesday Salsa class yet, but the tutor for this class, Nick Smith, teaches a Salsa on a Thursday evening at Footlights.
